The First Snow Fall of the Winter

I always hate the first snow fall because it means winter is really here. But Marc was so excited to get on all his snow clothes and play in the snow.

Jacob's 9th birthday!

Jake went to Jump on It for his 9th birthday. He had such a good time jumping with all his friends.

Who is naughty and who is nice?

That is the big question at the Udall home this year.

Christmas Treat Exchange

This year I decided to do a Christmas treat exchange. I got to see a lot of friends I hadn't seen in a long time and got a lot of yummy treats. It was so fun. I think I will have to do this every year.

Yummy Treats!

Bike Racing

Road racing and mountain bike racing weren't enough, Josh has now started doing cross training races, where you use a bike that is half road half mountain bike. Some of the race is on the road and some of the race is up and down hills, you even have to carry your bike over obstacles.

Cheering Dad on at his bike race.

The Annual Turkey Run

Normally Josh's Mom signs us all up for the Turkey Run, but this year only a few ran. Caleb, Dad Udall, Elizabeth, Sarah, Madalyn, Josh, Jacob, Esther, and Cameron.

Buggy ride with Grandpa

Jessica and Marc love to go on buggy rides with Grandpa Udall in the winter.

Halloween 2008

Since we don't do sleep overs, Madalyn had a sleepover themed birthday party this year. Complete with pillow fights, manicures, and movies.

Pumpkin Carving

I was lucky enough to miss pumpkin carving this year. It is not my favorite thing, but the kids love it.

Summer

It has been a busy summer for the Udall Family. Megan turned 13! How could I have a teenager? Megan went to a very cold girls camp, where it snowed and rained every day. Jake loved the soccer camp he attended. Josh left for 2 conferences, one in Iowa and one in Minnesota. He was gone a little too long for my liking. I volunteered with Josh's mom at the Ragnar, which is an all day and all night race that some of Josh's sisters were participating in. Megan, Madalyn, Jacob, and Jessica have all been reaping the benefits of swim lessons at grandma's. Megan has become an amazing diver. My mom and sisters came to visit and we went to Snowbird and did the alpine slides, zip line, and bungy tramp. We also went to a family reunion on my mom's side. It was so fun to see so many aunts, uncles, and cousins, that I haven't seen for years. We were so sad to see mom, Brenda, Barb, Trevor, Katelyn, and especially baby Brayden leave. The kids claim to have been bored ever since. Jessica has learned to ride a bike and can't get enough of it. Josh got an NSF grant. Yeah! We are so proud of him. Madalyn took a volleyball class, and Megan is taking a tennis class. Josh and I attended his 20 year reunion. It was fun to meet all his old friends from high school. I am excited to go to my 20 year high school reunion in Oct. Megan got braces and swore she would never smile again. But I snatched a picture when she wasn't expecting it. There have been a lot of birthdays and summer reading programs keeping the kids busy. I, for one, am just about ready for school to start.
